Wisconsin Michigan Prediction
Wisconsin faces another tough opponent this weekend in Michigan. Playing in the Big House is never easy, even if it is a down year for the Wolverines. With Casillas and Beckum being able to rest up another week after both playing their first games of the season at Fresno, I think Bucky will pull this one out 24-14.

Deandre Levy was named Defensive Player of the Week by Associated Press Writers. Levy made 9 tackles, including 4 for losses, and recorded an interception on a batted pass by Matt Shaughnessy.
UW holds on for big road win
With the first big test of the season Wisconsin went into Fresno State on Saturday night and came out with a huge W. Fresno State fell to 1-5 all time against Big Ten opponents.
Travis Beckum and Jonathan Casillas were both making their 2008 season debuts and each made some big plays to help in this victory.
Fresno State had many chances to put themselves in front and the Wisconsin defense stood strong and held them. Wisconsin took a 10-0 lead into halftime and Fresno came out strong in the 3rd quarter and cut the Badgers lead to 10-7. Late in the 3rd quarter the Badgers added a field goal to make it a 13-7 lead.
The Bulldogs had a very good chance at taking lead late in the 3rd quarter with the Badgers up 13-7 when Lonyae Miller scampered for 57 yards before being caught from behind by Jonathan Casillas. The Bulldogs added a field goal and made it 13-10 with 16 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. The Badger defense held from there on out and Wisconsin pulled out a tough and much needed victory.
Wisconsin is in its toughest stretch of 4 games in a row since Bielema became head coach. Next the Badgers will head to Ann Arbor and play a weaker Michigan team than in years past but still the Big House is a tough place to play. Then the Badgers will play host to an Ohio State team who was just demoralized on Saturday night by a USC team that looks head and shoulders above any other team so far. And the UW will round out the 4 game stretch in Madison with a Penn State team that has looked unstoppable so far this season.

Wisconsin vs. Fresno State Prediction
Wisconsin now starts one of the toughest 4 game stretches of any team this year. At Fresno State, At Michigan, Home against Ohio State and Home against Penn State. These next 4 games will let us know really how tough this Badger team is.
Wisconsin will face maybe its toughest test other than playing Ohio State this year. Fresno State is a tough team let alone playing in the dog pound and in the Valley where it is supposed to be around 90-95 degrees at kickoff.
Hopefully the Badgers can get a boost from Casillas and Beckum who both should suit up and should play.
Wisconsin 28
Fresno State 27
I am a little leery picking the Badgers here but am hoping they can pull it off by pounding the ball down the Bulldogs throats.

Wisconsin scores 51 unanswered to roll past Marshall 51-14
A week after the Badgers ran for 404 yards they went the opposite direction and threw for 329 yards in a rout over the Marshall Thundering Herd.
Marshall jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter with Wisconsin unable to move the ball effectively.
Wisconsin finally woke up after Marshall's second score of the game and went into halftime with an uncomfortable 17-14 lead. The Badgers came out quick in the second have with three third quarter touchdowns and jumped out to a 38-14 lead.
Wisconsin added two more scores in the fourth quarter to make it 51 unanswered points after Marshall jumped out to their 14-0 lead.
Badger fans hope for a better start in their upcoming road test against a tough Fresno State club.

Wisconsin vs. Akron recap
With a few injuries leaving Travis Beckum and Jonathan Casillas on the sidelines for this game the Badgers still managed to make this one a laugher.
Wisconsin jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter on a nine play, 67 yard drive that ended on a Garrett Graham 3-yard touchdown catch from QB Allan Evridge. The Badgers continued to pound the ball down the throats of the Zips defenders and were quickly out to a 17-0 lead to start the 2nd quarter.
A few turnovers and defensive lapses later the Zips cut the lead 17-10 going into half.
Wisconsin one again scored 2 quick touchdowns to start the second half and were up 31-10 with 6 minutes left in the third quarter.
After an Akron fumble redshirt freshman John Clay found the end zone for his first collegiate touchdown with 12 minutes to go left in the game.
Final score: Wisconsin 38-Akron 17 (without a fumble from 2nd string QB Dustin Sherer with 3 minutes to go in the game the score would have ended 38-10 which was the score I predicted)
The defense looked a little shaky at times but all in all it was a good opener for the Badgers.

2008 Wisconsin Badger Season Preview: Defensive Preview
Injuries right now are the biggest question on the defensive line. Senior DT Jason Chapman and Mike Newkirk will clog up the middle with Matt Shaughnessy bringing some much needed pressure from the outside.
Returning all three linebackers from a season ago, the Badgers hope Jonathan Casillas and DeAndre Levy can live up the their expectations this year after a disappointing 2007 campaign. Junior Jaevery McFadden won the starting job this season at Middle Linebacker. The experienced line backing corps should be much improved this season.
With the departure of CB Jack Ikegwuonu to the NFL Draft, the secondary is left without one of the best cover corners in the nation. CB Allen Langford should get the start on one side while Aaron Henry and Mario Goins are fighting for the job on the other side. The starter on opening day will most like be Goins due to an injury the Henry who should be back soon. FS Shane Carter led the team in interceptions a season ago with 7. And returning SS Aubrey Pleasant will bring some experience to the secondary.

2008 Wisconsin Badger Season Preview: Offensive Preview
With the 2008 Season rapidly approaching the Badgers are once again deep at the running back position even after the departure of Lance Smith. PJ Hill should get a majority of the carries with Zach Brown and John Clay backing him up. PJ Hill is coming off of a promising sophomore campaign rushing for over 1200 yards and 14 touchdowns.
At the most questionable position this year, the Badgers finally did announce their starting quarterback last Wednesday. Kansas State transfer Allan Evridge, who just barely lost out to Tyler Donovan last season for the starting job, beat out Junior Dustin Sherer. Donovan started all 13 games last season. This team may go as far as a quarterback is willing to take them.
The receiving corps is extremely young with the exception of TE Travis Beckum. Beckum the leading receiver from last season with 75 receptions and 982 yards receiving will once again lead this team. Sophomore WR Kyle Jefferson showed flashes of a great receiver last year and will lead the team of young receivers.
